This is the very first small painting, in a small frame, I ever made. It started the painting of many others like it in the years that followed. I understand who “he” is now.

It was painted while I was living on a train for half a year, along with a handful of others. The universe pushed me to paint that day, probably saved my life. I wonder what will be my next first.
